Maaya Indian Kitchen & Bar has been awarded the highest possible grade for its Food Hygiene Standards.

The independently owned restaurant situated in The Hub received a food hygiene rating of Five (very good), which is the highest mark on a scale of 0 – 5, by the Environment and Regulatory Services at Milton Keynes Council.

The food hygiene rating reflects the standards found on the date of inspection by the local authority.

Owner and restaurant manager, Mo Abdul said: “This is wonderful news. As an independent and highly respected assessment, we are delighted to have achieved this standard which is a show of our hard work and dedication to offering the very best level of service and quality.”

The food hygiene rating or inspection result given to a business reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of inspection or visit by the local authority. Each business is given a ‘hygiene rating’ when it is inspected by a food safety officer from the business’s local authority. The hygiene rating shows how closely the business is meeting the requirements of food hygiene law.
