Maaya was shortlisted for the prestigious British Curry Awards, representing Milton Keynes in the South East category. Competing amongst some of the best Indian restaurants in the UK, this was the second year in a row Maaya received this nomination, having been shortlisted as Best Newcomer in the previous year.
In 2018, Maaya was awarded Best Indian Restaurant in Milton Keynes by LUX Magazine. Later that year, it won the Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year at the English Curry Awards, further proving its dedication to delivering authentic Indian flavours.
In 2019, Maaya continued its success by securing the title of Best Indian Restaurant in Milton Keynes once again and winning the Global 100 Award for Best Indian Restaurant in the region. It was also a finalist in the British Curry Awards, solidifying its place among the UK's top Indian restaurants.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Maaya was recognised at the British Curry Awards as a finalist once again, proving its resilience and dedication to maintaining high standards. Maaya also won Best Indian Restaurant in the Region and the Overall Best Restaurant in the Country at the English Curry Awards, making it a multi-award-winning restaurant despite the difficulties of the time.
In 2022, Maaya's chef was honoured with the Chef of the Year (South) award at the English Curry Awards, acknowledging his skill and passion in the kitchen. The restaurant also won Best Asian Restaurant at the Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards (MKFLA), showcasing its continued excellence in both food and service.
In 2023, Maaya was once again crowned Best Asian Restaurant at the Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards, marking a back-to-back victory and solidifying its status as a leader in Asian cuisine within the region.
Most recently, in 2024, the Global 100 Awards awarded Maaya the title of Best Indian Restaurant in Milton Keynes, further showcasing its dedication to outstanding food quality, excellent customer service, and support for local charities.
